Ana is a journalist taken by her work to all sorts of different places the world over. Ever since her youth, influenced by her father, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its contents have been a place from which she observes the individual and collective behavior of human development. She is also an expert in new technologies applied to communication. This circumstance, combined with her desire to improve human relations, leads her to draw up a document uncovering the terrible failures to observe Human Rights.

Julián, Manuel, and Simón are a group of friends since childhood who spent many years at a local sports club. They meet again after a decade without seeing each other, and try to save the sports club from bankruptcy. They find out that if the club wins a certain tournament, the award will provide the economic support needed to pay the club's debts.

Santiago, Marta and Carlos meet once a month to eat together, always in the same restaurant. They have known each other since university, more than 15 years ago. Then they shared many dreams and illusions, but over the years each has followed his own path. In one of those meals, Carlos borrows four million pesetas from Santiago and another four from Marta because his computer company has problems with a project they are developing. Months go by and Carlos can't get their money back. Santiago and Marta assure him that it does not matter, but in reality their lives have changed since that meal.
